My name is Anna Fricano DeJarnette. I am an assistant professor of mathematics education at the University of Cincinnati. I received my M.S. in mathematics and Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
My research is in the area of student learning with technology. I am interested in how students understand and talk to one another about mathematics when they use computer programming environments. I study students' mathematical conceptions and discourse to explore the ways that students' use of programming environments can become part of how they do mathematics.
